Information about the Department of “Medical Biology and Histology”

Since February 2018, the 1st Department of Medical Biology has been established and currently operates under the name of the Department of “Medical Biology and Histology”. Tashkent Medical Academy, Termez branch, is a structural unit of the Faculty of Medicine No. 2, in which educational and methodological, scientific-research works, scientific and scientific pedagogic personnel training, upgrading and retraining of medical biology and histology as well as preparation and organizational, spiritual-educational and educational works are carried out. The department directly reports to the dean of the faculty and the director of the Termez branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy. The department is established and terminated by the order of the director based on the decision of the Scientific Council of the Termez Branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

Currently, a total of 14 professors work in the department, including 7 full-time and 7 associate professors. Also, 1 foreign (Tajikistan) professors are working in the department. The department has 7 classrooms. Each room is equipped with modern equipment. The department has 6 binocular microscopes, 2 monitors and 1 television.

The scientific potential of the department is 42.9%.
