Department of Uzbek and foreign languages tarixi
The Department of “Uzbek and Foreign Languages” of the Termez branch of Tashkent State Medical University is affiliated with the Faculty of International Education and is located on the 4th floor of the 1st academic building. Many of our students interested in the field of language participate in the “Young Linguists”, “Russian Word”, “We learn English”, “English atmosphere”, “Medicus” circles together with the department staff and participate in educational and scientific conferences as members of the “Student Scientific Society”.
The department staff cooperates with the Abu Ali ibn Sino Medical College located in the Denov district. Currently, 17 professors and teachers work in our department. Of these, 5 are external substitutes, 1 is a doctor of philosophy (PhD) in philology, 1 is an internal substitute, 1 is an associate professor with a doctor of philosophy (PhD) in philology, 2 are senior lecturers, and 7 are assistants. The average age of the department’s staff is 43 years old.
Currently, teachers working at the department are engaged in the following scientific work to obtain academic degrees:

3. Atamuratova Munira Makhamadiyevna -13.00.02 Improving the methodology for developing pragmatic competence in teaching English to medical students.
4. Murtazayeva Khadicha Nuriddinovna -10.00.06 Terms related to children’s diseases in English and Uzbek.
5.Kurbonova Go’zal Abdurakhimovna -10.00.06 A comparative study of livestock terms in Russian and Uzbek languages (based on lexicographic sources)
6.Khimmatova Nodira Normamatovna- 19.00.05 Psychological features of the socialization of students with special needs in general education schools.
7.Djumayev Alisher Temirovich- 10.00.06 Oxymoron as a method of contrast and opposition in Russian and Uzbek languages.
