Two professors from Shenandoah University visited the Termiz branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

As you know, at the Uzbek-US forum, an agreement will be made between F. Otamuradov, director of the Termiz branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy, and Shenandoah University to establish academic mobility ties.

In this regard, Shenandoah University vice chancellor prof. Karen Abraham Elizabeth and Cathy Felmlee, head of the “Ergotherapy” department, visited the Shanholtz branch and informed the branch about the activities of Shenandoah University, as well as a seminar-training in the field of Ergotherapy.

Occupational therapy is an interdisciplinary field that combines the knowledge of psychology, biomechanics, physical therapy and pedagogy. The main goals of Ergos are to restore or provide treatment for the multitasking necessary for everyday life, to create conditions for the development and self-awareness of the patient through certain daily activities, work, productive activities and rest.

The seminar-training was conducted in English, and the students of the branch’s English language groups actively participated and received answers to their questions. This seminar-training made a great impression on the branch students and Shenandoah University.
