Department of Medical Biology and Histology
By the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 172 dated March 5, 2018, the Termez branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy was established. When the branch was established, a total of 3 departments were operating. One of them is the 1st Department of Medical Biology, which has been operating under the name of the Department of “Medical Biology and Histology” since 2022. The Termez branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy was part of the Faculty of Medicine No. 2. Currently, the Department of “Medical Biology and Histology” operates as part of the Faculty of International Education.
The Department of “Medical Biology and Histology” is located on the 1st floor of the 1st academic building. The department conducts lectures, practical and laboratory classes in the following areas of study: medical work, pediatric work, dentistry, medical prophylaxis and fundamental medicine, and medical biology at the 1st stage, and histology at the 1st-2nd stage.
Starting from the 2021-2022 academic year, the department is conducting classes in Medical Biology and Histology for students of the joint educational program “medical work” and “pediatric work”, opened in collaboration with the Volga Research Medical University of the Russian Federation.
Starting from the 2022-2023 academic year, the department is conducting lectures and practical classes in Medical Biology and Histology for foreign students studying from the Republic of India.
Currently, teachers working at the department are engaged in the following scientific work to obtain academic degrees:

2. Kholbekov Bakhtiyor Boymanovich – Evaluation of the effectiveness of functional foods in the treatment of periodontal disease in adults.
