The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 563 dated September 9, 2021 “On measures to increase the level of student accommodation in higher educational institutions of the Republic” was adopted. This resolution establishes the construction of student dormitories on the basis of public-private partnership by attracting private investments.
The Termez branch of Tashkent State Medical University has been submitted an initiative proposal, including a project concept, by the private entrepreneur “ BEST CONTINENTAL ” LLC. This project plans to construct and organize the operation of a student dormitory for 400 places on the territory of the Termez branch of Tashkent State Medical University (0.3 hectares).
The selection of a private partner for the project will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Public-Private Partnership” and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 720 dated October 30, 2024 “On measures to further improve and comprehensively systematize the sphere of public-private partnership”.
