An appeal by Otamuradov Furqat Abdukarimovich, Director of the Termez Branch of Tashkent State Medical University, to medical students, parents, and physician educators to be aware of the negative consequences of drug addiction and drug crimes
Dear medical students, dear parents, and respected medical educators!
Today, the medical field is becoming one of the most important pillars in the development of our country, in maintaining the health of our population and in forming a healthy lifestyle. In particular, young people studying medicine are the main support of the health of our society as tomorrow’s qualified doctors. In such conditions, drug addiction and related crimes pose a great threat not only to the health of the individual, but also to the future of the entire family, community and country. Fighting this scourge is a common task for all of us.
Dear students!
You are the specialists who will save human lives in the future, who will bring health and hope to society. Therefore, each of you must first protect your own health, your own mind, and your own future. As medical students, each of you is responsible for being an example for yourself and promoting a healthy lifestyle to those around you. Every warning, every explanation you give can turn someone away from the wrong path.
Dear parents!
Love, attention, and communication in raising children are the strongest shields to protect them from any harmful vices. Talk to your children more often, get to know their environment, interests, and friends. Any changes in a child’s mood, mood, or habits are not accidental.
Dear doctors and educators!
You are not only experts who provide knowledge, but also one of the most powerful factors in the spiritual education of a medical student. It is extremely important to thoroughly explain the biological, psychological and social consequences of drug addiction during the educational process, to form a sense of vigilance and responsibility in the minds of each student.
We must not forget: the fight against drug addiction is not just an organizational event, but a national task that requires a firm position and high responsibility from every member of society.
Dear colleagues and compatriots!
Reducing drug addiction and drug-related crime is not the sole responsibility of law enforcement or the medical system. It requires the same initiative, solidarity, and determination from all of us.
Thank you for your attention.
I encourage all of us to work together for a healthy and prosperous future!
Otamuradov Furqat Abdukarimovich,
Director of the Termez branch of Tashkent State Medical University
