The Department of “ Social and Humanities” was officially included in the structure of the branch under the Faculty of Medicine under this name since February 2018. The Department of
“ Social and Humanities” is located on the 4th floor of the 1st academic building. According to the curriculum, the department offers 1st and 2nd medical work, pediatric folk medicine, medical prevention, dentistry, formation education areas. At the 1st stage, lectures, practical and laboratory classes are held in the subjects of information technologies in medicine, biophysics, modern history of Uzbekistan, philosophy, and at the 2nd stage, philosophy, psychology and conflictology.
From the 2021-2022 academic year, the department will conduct classes in information technologies in medicine, bioinformatics, biophysics, modern history of Uzbekistan, philosophy, and psychology for students of the joint educational program “Medical work” and “Pediatric work”, opened in collaboration with the Privolzhsk Scientific Research Medical University of the Russian Federation.
From the 2023-2024 academic year, the department will conduct lectures and practical classes in biophysics, information technologies in medicine for foreign students studying from the Republic of India.
Currently, a total of 19 professors and teachers work in the department, of which 9 are main and 4 are internal, and 6 are external. Also, 1 foreign (Russian) professor and teacher works in the department.
