In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to support entrepreneurial activity and employment of young people, their social protection and meaningful organization of their free time” No. PF-6208 dated April 20, 2021 and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 605 dated September 24, 2021, the Department for Coordination of Student Housing was established.
The Department operates in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Finance.
The Department establishes cooperation with self-government bodies of citizens, internal affairs, tax authorities, exchanges information and experience, and establishes mutually beneficial contractual relations in order to provide students with housing in student dormitories and on the basis of a lease agreement.
The director is responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the department, and the deputy director for youth affairs and spiritual and educational affairs is responsible for its activities. Deans of faculties are required to cooperate with the department on the activities related to the department. The tasks of the department coordinating the provision of student housing
are to provide housing for students of the branch, organize work related to the field. At the same time, study the problems of students living in rented accommodation and provide practical assistance in solving them.
Create and periodically update a data sheet for students living on the basis of a rental agreement;
Establish and strengthen cooperation with parents and neighborhoods in providing students with housing;
Organize the conclusion of rental agreements for students living on a lease basis, in collaboration with faculty deans, deputy deans and tutors.
Provide practical assistance to students living on a lease basis in paying rent.
