To International Students

International Cooperation Department helps foreign students studying at Termez branch of Tashkent Medical Academy (TBTMA) at undergraduate and graduate levels actively participate in academic, social and cultural life and solve the academic, social and cultural problems they face during their studies. Currently, international students from The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) continue their education at undergraduate and graduate levels at our university.

The fact that international students study at our university both enables our students to get to know different societies and cultures closely, and helps international students to realize the cultural richness of our country and to understand the differences.

Friends of Termez branch of Tashkent Medical Academy, who graduated from our academy and continue their professional life in different countries of the world, play an important role in the development of our academy’s international visibility as promotional ambassadors.

Candidates who graduate from a school equivalent to Uzbek high schools are required to meet certain application requirements when accepting students from abroad to our academy associate and undergraduate programs.

The language of instruction varies according to the programs at academy.

100 % support and security

TBTMA supervises both, the academic and the extracurricular life of its students and maintains contact with their parents. TBTMA employees are always available to solve any issues concerning life or studying in Uzbekistan.

Opportunities for students

Students have a possibility not only to study medicine abroad but to receive a traineeship, participate in exchange programs, and apply for research funding. Students are able to enhance their professional capacity by participating in various projects. It may be prospective and exciting research work, in-depth study of medical innovations, association with experts of the chosen branch, and publishing of papers.

Our graduates will have the right to work as general medical practitioners in relevant medical institutions or continue education at the next stage.

The curriculum implies full immersion into clinical practice.

Theoretical classes are reinforced by practical experience and regular work in the medical institutions cooperating with the Academy.

Classes are held in a dynamic, relaxed and friendly environment, which contributes to the process of acquiring knowledge. Teachers constantly encourage students to work actively, creating conditions for dialogue and discussion. Students study together with a group, in pairs or individually; the organization of lessons is always varied.

Termez branch of TMA not only offers professional training in the field of medicine, but also provides access to many clinical bases, the opportunity to work with the patient directly with the help of a mentor. Such training practice helps to master the studied educational material. Given the high demand of medical workers in the Surkhandarya region, the plan of our academy includes the employment of students who have successfully completed their studies.
