The Women’s Advisory Council was established to ensure the active participation of female students in the educational process of the branch, to promote their legal, social, spiritual and professional development, and to strengthen gender equality. The Women’s Advisory Council carries out systematic work to ensure the effective implementation of state policy aimed at supporting women, to protect their rights and legitimate interests, and to increase their role in the socio-political life of the country.
1. To activate the participation of women in labor collectives, in the spheres of state and public administration, to implement targeted projects to support them in socio-legal terms, and to regularly monitor their opinions;
2. To identify the problems of women in a timely manner, to identify students in need of help, socially disadvantaged students, employees and students with disabilities, to form mechanisms for providing them with socio-legal, psychological and material assistance and to provide them with rehabilitation tools;
3. Develop proposals for monitoring and improving the implementation of legislation on guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for women and men;
4. Monitor the implementation of legislation on the protection of women from oppression and violence, develop measures to identify and rehabilitate victims, and submit recommendations to the rectorate on the protection of their rights;
5. Develop regional programs on the protection of women from oppression and violence and participate in their implementation;
6. Prepare students for family life, increase the social activity of young families, and widely promote the activities and lifestyle of women engaged in socially useful work and leading exemplary lives;
7. Ensure compliance with the principles of transparency and justice in the processes of holding various competitions and sports competitions among women, as well as awarding the Zulfiya State Prize;
8. Ensure the implementation of documents, standards and requirements related to the protection of women’s rights within the framework of national and international legislation and directly participate in this process;
9. Recognize the merits of female employees who work effectively in the branch and recommend them for state awards.

The main goal of the Department of Women’s Affairs is to create favorable conditions for female students to receive quality education, professional development, social and legal protection, and to help them take an active role in society. Through this, women will have the opportunity to successfully and equally participate not only in the educational process, but also in various spheres of society.
